Keep your office safe from fire with fire proofing steel

Offices are one of those places which can catch fire faster. It is important to check the building in which you are planning to start your office has fire safety measures, for example, and it is important that the builder has used the fire proofing steel while constructing. It is also important to have a nice housekeeping. 

Housekeeping is extremely important. It is important to clean also keep all your electrical machines and equipments well repaired. Maintain machines from overheating and getting sparks is the most important thing. If you have an office wherein you deal with chemicals a lot of times, then normal try to keep them safe and labeled and fire proof material boxes and containers. Also, the proper ventilation in the storage room is extremely important. One has to be very cautious while dealing with flammable, vapor creating chemicals. Also, if you  work in a textile company, it is extremely important to be careful and also take extra care. It is important to have a special area designed for the people who smoke. Smoking should be completely avoided inside the office premises. Also, using lighter or matchbox should be prohibited. Try not spilling liquid as most of the offices have machines, and if the liquid comes in contact with the liquid, there are more chances of a fire taking place. Therefore, it is important that there is no spilling of water, tea or any other liquid, and if by chance it does happen make sure that it has been cleaned and taken care of before it's too late.

Storage area in big or small industries should be made of the fire proofing steel, there should always be at least two fire exit on each floor. Also, there should be smoke detectors in offices, and the batteries should be changed at least twice a year. Also, there should be a fire extinguisher, at least in every end of the office. All the electric equipments should be closed and turned off before leaving. Also, the area used for lunch and tea making should be different. So that there are no threats of food and liquid spilling and any mess taking place. It is important that there is a free access to all the electrical control panels. Anything blocking the panels to shut it down can cause a problem during an emergency. 

Some basic things and steps which should be followed by the people working there can help if there is an emergency situation that takes place. All the people in the office should know where the safety measures are kept. For Eg; they should know how to use a fire extinguisher and where it is kept, and they should also be aware of safety fire alarm, fire hoses and fire blankets.  It is also important that they know the precaution and prevention measures along with emergency communication signs and languages and how to evacuate the place during emergencies. Also, knowing the numbers to call, and reporting even if there is a minor fire.
